SpaceEye
Live satellite imagery for your Mac or Windows desktop background.
New images are downloaded every 10 minutes to 1 hour (depending on the image size), giving an up-to-date view of the Earth on your desktop.
There are currently 12 views from 5 different weather satellites: Himawari-8, GOES-17 (West), GOES-16 (East), Meteosat-8, and Meteosat-11.
Satellite views can be downloaded in up to 8K resolution (if supported by the monitor and satellite view) for crystal clear background pictures of the Earth.
Can be installed on both macOS and Windows.
SpaceEye is 100% open source and provided free of charge. Contributions are welcome!
